Purpose: To promote the growth of competitive diving, good sportsmanship, and camaraderie among divers in the MCDL.

Site: Robin Hood Swim Club, 225 Mowbray Rd, Silver Spring, MD

Eligibility: The Invitational is open to all MCDL team members who are NOT diving in their Divisional Meet. A completed Dual Meet diving form will serve as an official entry. Coaches or team reps should give their completed and signed dive sheets to the Robin Hood team rep at the scoring table as soon as they arrive at the pool.

Signing Up: Divers are asked to sign up in advance using Sign Up Genius at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0544abaa2aa1f94-robin4 so that we can ensure we have the right number of ribbons and can order the Meet to run as smoothly as possible. Divers can still sign up on the day of the Meet at the check-in table if necessary.

Meet Support: Like all MCDL dive meets we rely heavily on parent volunteers to staff this event. Volunteer slots have been aligned to an event grouping and will change during the warm up/ribbon awards between groups – please feel free to sign up for more than one if you can. 3 & 4 8 & Under (same as current dive list)

5 & 6 9 – 10 (current dive list)

7 & 8 11 – 12 (current dive list)

11 & 12 15 – 18 (current dive list)

13 & 14 19 (follows 15 – 18 dive list)

Awards: Ribbons for all participants in order of place will be presented after each event. No team scores will be kept.

Parking: Parking is available in the RH parking lot for those arriving early. Street parking is available on the pool side of Mowbray Road only. Additional parking is available in the Westover Elementary School parking lot at the corner of Locksley Lane & Hawkesbury Lane. To get to Robin Hood from Westover, observe the large white house directly across from the parking lot. To the right of that house is a blacktop path which leads to Robin Hood Pool.

Concessions: We will have a well stocked concession stand which will open shortly before 3 pm and remain open throughout the meet. A Kona Ice truck will also be at the Meet.

Warm Ups: For 6 & under and 8 & under divers, warm ups will begin at 3:00 pm. The meet will begin promptly at 3:30. Warm ups for 9-10 and 11-12 will follow the 8 & under boys event. Warm ups for 13-14, 15-18 and 19 will follow the 11-12 boys event.

Robin Hood Dive Co-Reps

This is the make up meet for Seven Locks meet - only for 13 and up divers

Spirit activities take place each Friday at 6-6:30pm. Families are invited to bring a picnic dinner for after the spirit activity. It is a time when our community can get together and celebrate our swimmers prior to meet competitions! As always, parent help during these activities are appreciated.
