**Swimmers and Divers 13 & up who have overlap with dive practice from 10:15 - 10:30 - we recommend they stay at Dive practice until 10:30 on Tue/Thu and leave dive practice early at 10:15 on M/W/F, but will leave that to diver and coach discretion**
Attendance Policy:
Divers must attend practice the Friday before a meet to fill out and sign their meet entry form. If you cannot participate in a meet, please notify your coaches during the week before the meet. If you cannot attend practice on Friday, please make arrangements to sign your dive sheet at another time directly with your coach.
Divers should attend at least 3 practices a week in order to dive in an upcoming meet for that weekend. This is due to safety concerns; if divers don't practice, the coaches cannot assure that they are going to be able to perform all of the dives required in a safe manner. If a diver is unable to make 3 practices in a week, contact the coach directly.
No Practices on Wednesdays afternoons during the regular swim & dive season due to B swim meets.
Weather Policy:
There will still be practice on days when the weather is questionable. These practices will be shorter than normal and consist of dryland exercises and conditioning. Thunderstorms will cancel practice. The pool manager makes the call to close the pool during inclement weather.
Learning New Dives:
The coaches encourage divers to learn at least one new dive during the season. Be sure your diver communicates his/her goals to the coaches. There may be a special practice for all those who want to learn twisting dives or reverse dives.
Tentative Post Season Schedule:
Post-Season Practices, beginning July 14:
Divisional divers 11 & up: 8:30-9:30
Divisional divers 10 & under: 9:30-10:30
Robin Hood divers (all ages): 4-5pm
Divers must dive in 2 meets in order to qualify for Divisional Championships. This is a league rule. Manor Woods typically sends the two divers from each event with the highest average scores to Divisionals. These divers will be confirmed as soon as possible after the conclusion of the last regular season meet.
The divers finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places at Divisionals will qualify to dive at All Stars. Divers must dive in 2 regular season meets in order to qualify as a Wild Card in All Stars, but selection is at Coach's discretion.
