Poster Making for Swim Divisionals

Please join your fellow swimmers on Thursday morning between 9:00 - 10:30am for a poster making session at the pool to celebrate our team as we enter divisionals weekend. Poster paper will be provided but please bring your own markers. Parental supervision is needed for 10 and under athletes. |

'Wednesday Night Lights' - wear your favorite high school, college or professional sports team swag and represent as we say farewell to our seniors! B Meet entries will open at noon on the Saturday prior to the B Meet. Swimmers can choose their own events for B Meets. (Note: 10 & Unders who would like to swim IM, must have approval from a coach.) Please note: the rules for the Manor Woods Swim Team are that a swimmer may swim no more than four individual events (three different individual strokes and an Individual Medley) per week. A swim week begins with an “A” meet followed by a “B” meet. A stroke may NOT be repeated in the same swim week. Please see this video for clarification. |

Friday Evening Pot Luck - Hosted by 8 and unders and their parents

The team Pot Luck Dinner begins immediately following the weekly spirit activity. These events are a great way to conveniently feed your family as well as socialize with other Manor Woods families on Friday evenings during swim season. The Pot Luck is open to all registered Swimmers, Divers, Pre-Teamers and their families. If your athletes plan to attend, then we need the parents to volunteer! To make the Pot Luck work, each family must bring food each week. Families are requested to bring: 1. a healthy main or side dish "of your choosing” (serving 8-10) and 2. a drink. We would really appreciate you considering bringing juice, lemonade, Gatorade, or water, knowing many children have a meet in the morning, and the whole swim team will be out in the heat for many hours the following morning. Please bring your food item in a non-glass container. (plastic, aluminum, etc.) Most of the children are running around with bare feet, and broken glass could cause a serious injury. THANK YOU!!! Families with special dietary considerations are encouraged to prepare these dishes accordingly. *** Please be sensitive to specific food allergies when preparing your dish and appropriately mark any food items containing nuts.*** The team provides utensils, cups, plates, napkins, and ice. The team is responsible for cleaning up the area at the conclusion of the event. New for 2022: we are asking parents to serve the food. Disposable gloves will be provided. |

Friday Night Spirit Activity

Act 5 - High School Musical - Friday, July 15 - Spirit activity before potluck and talent show during the potluck. What to wear: Blue/Green/White clothes for team spirit! What to bring: During the potluck, we will have a Talent Show. Your kids can start planning and preparing now. Each act must be 1-2 minutes or less. Please only sign up for one act. We will post sign-up sheets closer to the date. We will have a microphone, but you must provide any other props/equipment. All acts must be appropriate (no swear words, no inappropriate music–remember there are pre-teamers and little siblings at the spirit activities). |

Donut Thursday - Week 4B

One or two people to pick up approximately 8-9 dozen donuts for the team and distribute one donut per swimmer/diver after practice. (Please email Marcie before hand to confirm the #) Team will reimburse for donuts but volunteer should look for a place that sells donuts for a reasonable price. Receipt should be submitted to Mike Barnes and Marcie Ament. |
