Manor Woods Mini Meet! We will start at 10:00 sharp and try to get it all in within an hour. Please plan to arrive at 9:45. The order of events will be 1/2 length kick, 1/2 length free, then a brief break, then 25m kick, 25m free.

We invite divers and their families to join us for an informal gathering to socialize and for our divers to receive the much loved paper plate awards from the coaches. We will meet at the picnic tables behind the diving well.

Friday Evening Potluck - 8 & Under Families are Responsible for Set-up, Serving and Clean Up

The team Pot Luck Dinner begins immediately following the weekly spirit activity. These events are a great way to conveniently feed your family as well as socialize with other Manor Woods families on Friday evenings during swim season. The Pot Luck is open to all registered Swimmers, Divers, Pre-Teamers and their families. To make the Pot Luck work, each family must bring food each week.

Families are requested to bring:

1. a healthy main or side dish "of your choosing” (serving 8-10)

and

2. drinks for your own family.

Please bring your food/drink items in a non-glass container. (plastic, aluminum, etc.) Most of the children are running around with bare feet, and broken glass could cause a serious injury. THANK YOU!!!

Families with special dietary considerations are encouraged to prepare these dishes accordingly. *** Please be sensitive to specific food allergies when preparing your dish and appropriately mark any food items containing nuts.***

The team provides utensils, plates, and napkins. The team is responsible for cleaning up the area at the conclusion of the event.

Donut Thursday - Week 4

These donuts are a sweet reward swimmers and divers, who have practiced that morning at Manor Woods or at a club practice. Unfortunately, we don't have enough donuts for siblings not on the team.

We are not able to provide donuts to team members who stop by on the way to a morning summer camp.

Week '4B' Swim Meet vs Hallowell Hurricanes

B Meet entries will open at noon on the Saturday prior to the B Meet. Swimmers can choose their own events for B Meets. (Note: 10 & Unders who would like to swim IM, must have approval from a coach.)

Please note: the rules for the Manor Woods Swim Team are that a swimmer may swim no more than four individual events (three different individual strokes and an Individual Medley) per week. A swim week begins with an “A” meet followed by a “B” meet. A stroke may NOT be repeated in the same swim week.

New rules (since 2024 season) have been made in attempt to maximize successes, minimize disappointments, and improve the flow of Wednesday night B meets :

All 10 & Unders who would like to swim IM, must have approval from a coach – the swimmer must request to swim IM that week at practice, etc. and if they approve, the coaches will let the B Rep know who will swim IM that week and the rep will add the swimmers manually.) No 10 and under swimmers should be adding IM on their own.

8 & Unders who would like to swim Breaststroke or Butterfly must have approval from a coach – the swimmer must request to swim either Breaststroke or Butterfly that week at practice, etc. and if they approve the coaches will let the B Rep know who will swim those events that week and the rep will add the swimmers manually.) No 8 and under swimmers should be adding Butterfly or Breaststroke on their own.

Team members can travel to the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center to cheer on our Manor Woods swimmer(s) who have qualified for this invitational swim meet which includes the top 8 swimmers in each MCSL event.

Divers should be on deck by 4:45pm. Volunteers by 5pm. We will resume this meet with the 5th round of 13-14 girls at 5:30pm.
