Donut Thursday - Week 2B
Manor Woods Swim Club

End: 10:15 AM
One or two people to pick up approximately 8-9 dozen donuts for the team and distribute one donut per swimmer/diver after practice. (Please email Marcie before hand to confirm the #) Team will reimburse for donuts but volunteer should look for a place that sells donuts for a reasonable price. Receipt should be submitted to Marcie Ament. |

Week '2B' Swim Meet @ Olney Mill

B Meet entries will open at noon on the Saturday prior to the B Meet. Swimmers can choose their own events for B Meets. (Note: 10 & Unders who would like to swim IM, must have approval from a coach.) Please note: the rules for the Manor Woods Swim Team are that a swimmer may swim no more than four individual events (three different individual strokes and an Individual Medley) per week. A swim week begins with an “A” meet followed by a “B” meet. A stroke may NOT be repeated in the same swim week. Please see this video for clarification. |

High School Bonfire

Swim and divers who have finished a year of high school will enjoy this team building event to include pizza, s'mores and swimming! Check in is anytime between 8:00 and 8:45pm. Please be sure your child arrives by 8:45pm. What to Bring: A towel, an unopened drink to share, and a snack to share. That's it! No bags may be brought in. The event will end at midnight. Please arrange a safe ride home for your child. If your child is a new driver and needs to be home by midnight, please discuss with them what time they need to leave the pool to be home to stay within the boundaries of their license. Signing Out if Leaving Before Midnight: Any child leaving before midnight will need to sign out and document the time they are leaving. (our goal, of course, is to keep everyone safe and know where our team members are at all times) We want to make this a really memorable and safe event for everyone! |

Friday Evening Potluck - Families of 9-10's are Responsible for Set-up, Serving and Clean-Up

The team Pot Luck Dinner begins immediately following the weekly spirit activity. These events are a great way to conveniently feed your family as well as socialize with other Manor Woods families on Friday evenings during swim season. The Pot Luck is open to all registered Swimmers, Divers, Pre-Teamers and their families. To make the Pot Luck work, each family must bring food each week. Families are requested to bring: 1. a healthy main or side dish "of your choosing” (serving 8-10) and 2. drinks for your own family. Please bring your food/drink items in a non-glass container. (plastic, aluminum, etc.) Most of the children are running around with bare feet, and broken glass could cause a serious injury. THANK YOU!!! Families with special dietary considerations are encouraged to prepare these dishes accordingly. *** Please be sensitive to specific food allergies when preparing your dish and appropriately mark any food items containing nuts.*** The team provides utensils, plates, and napkins. The team is responsible for cleaning up the area at the conclusion of the event. |

Swim: Beginning June 19 (Monday-Friday) Ages 11-12……………....7:30-8:30 am Ages 9-10..........................8:30-9:30 am Ages 8 & under…….….8:30-9:15 am Ages 13 & up.................9:15-10:15 am (M,W,F) 9:15-10:45 am (T,TH) Afternoon practices are Tues. & Thurs. (ONLY if you cannot attend morning practice). Ages 11 & up…………4:00-5:00 pm Ages 10 & under……...5:00-6:00 pm Dive: Beginning June 19 (Monday-Friday) Monday through Friday mornings: 11 & Up: 8:30am - 9:30am 10 & Under: 9:30am - 10:30am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday Afternoons: All 10 & Under - 4:00pm - 5:00pm All 11 & Up - 5:00pm - 6:00pm Friday Afternoons – Team Spirit Activity after practices **Swimmers and Divers 13 & Up who have overlap with dive practice from 10:15 - 10:30 - we recommend they stay at Dive practice until 10:30 on Tue/Thu and leave dive practice early at 10:15 on M/W/F, but will leave that to diver and coach discrection** |
