High School Bonfire
Manor Woods Swim Club

Swimmers and divers who have finished a year of high school will enjoy this team building event to include pizza, s'mores and swimming! Check in is anytime between 8:00 and 8:45pm. Please be sure your child arrives by 8:45pm. What to Bring: a towel, smore stick, cans/plastic bottles of individual sodas/drinks, and a snack to share. That's it! No bags may be brought in. The event will end at midnight. Please arrange a safe ride home for your child. If your child is a new driver and needs to be home by midnight, please discuss with them what time they need to leave the pool to be home to stay within the boundaries of their license. |

Friday Evening Potluck - Families of 11-12's are Responsible for Set-up, Serving and Clean-Up

The team Pot Luck Dinner begins immediately following the weekly spirit activity. These events are a great way to conveniently feed your family as well as socialize with other Manor Woods families on Friday evenings during swim season. The Pot Luck is open to all registered Swimmers, Divers, Pre-Teamers and their families. To make the Pot Luck work, each family must bring food each week. Families are requested to bring: 1. a healthy main or side dish "of your choosing” (serving 8-10) and 2. drinks for your own family. Please bring your food/drink items in a non-glass container. (plastic, aluminum, etc.) Most of the children are running around with bare feet, and broken glass could cause a serious injury. THANK YOU!!! Families with special dietary considerations are encouraged to prepare these dishes accordingly. *** Please be sensitive to specific food allergies when preparing your dish and appropriately mark any food items containing nuts.*** The team provides utensils, plates, and napkins. The team is responsible for cleaning up the area at the conclusion of the event. |

Swim Time Trials

Time Trials is a “meet” in which our swimmers swim every event in order to get baseline times for the season. Usually the coaches use these times in creating the line-up for the first “A” meet of the season. Please indicate whether your child can attend Time Trials and what events that he/she will swim. Swimmers should be swimming all strokes they can swim legally. New swimmers should only sign up for freestyle and backstroke. Most experienced swimmers 11 and over should swim the 100 Individual Medley in addition to the 4 individual strokes. Please consult with the coaches or email Marcie if you have a question about what your child should swim. To sign your swimmer up for events, click the green Meet Entry button above. Then scroll down and click the blue “edit” button. On the next screen, indicate that your child is “Available for this meet” and choose the events that he/she is going to swim. Once complete, click “save”. Please also see the YouTube video created in 2022 with detailed instructions. The Manor Woods Swim Club's famous Meal Deal will be available after the meet. Please sign up if you plan to stay and eat. |

Dive judge clinic, followed by referee training

In-person training, with demo divers, for new and returning dive judges, led by a year-round, professional dive coach. All dive parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. No registration required, just show up! Last year, we had a larger-than-expected turnout. You might want to bring your own folding/camp-style chair. Clinic will be followed immediately by a referee training, from approximately 11 - 11:45. |
