Gender Diversity and Inclusion Policy

Manor Woods Swim & Dive Team promotes our sports in a safe and fun environment for all participating youth athletes. This includes those of all genders and gender identities. All of our athletes should participate in accordance with his/her/their gender identity, irrespective of the sex listed on the athlete’s birth certificate or other records.

In the case of a returning diver who needs to make a change to their existing registration, the team representative can coordinate with the team and the Montgomery County Dive League to make the necessary changes in the databases.

In the case of a non-binary athlete, the athlete will need to decide which category of competition they feel is most appropriate/comfortable: to dive the boy events or to dive the girl events.

Changing gender designation during the season after the diver’s first meet will not be allowed.
