Hello Manor Woods Dive Families,

This coming Friday, Robin Hood will be hosting the annual (and very fun) Robin Hood Invitational. This meet is a celebratory end-of-season meet that welcomes all divers not participating in their Divisional meet on Sunday. It is really good fun, the ribbons are huge, and their snack bar is great. I highly recommend going!

Of note for the Robin Hood meet:

• This meet runs an "extra" event for the youngest divers aged 6 & under.
• The meet will begin at 3:00pm; warm-ups for the first group (6 & under) will start at 2:30pm. Robin Hood asks that divers and families not arrive before 2:30 and that older divers wait until their allotted warm-up time to practice. There will be a specific warm-up for each age group prior to the girls event for the next age group.
• Divers should communicate with our MW coaches about their intent to participate.
• Parents should 

1. sign their diver(s) up here.
2. volunteer to take a table work or judging slot here. You can sign up to work while your child is diving to maximize efficiency or sign up for the event just before or just after your child is diving to maximize videography opportunity. ALL FAMILIES with a Robin Hood diver should plan to take at least one volunteer slot. This is a low pressure meet and the perfect opportunity for your first outing as an announcer or table worker. If you are a certified judge, sign up for one of those slots.

• The order of teams for each event will be randomized, but all divers from a single team will dive consecutively.
• Potential change in number of dives (older divers only): Robin Hood will be evaluating how the meet is progressing after each event and if it looks like the meet is not moving quickly enough, we may reduce the number of dives competed for the 11-12, 13-14 & 15-18 age groups by 1 optional dive (11-12 would do a total of 3 dives; 13-14 would do 4 dives, 15-18 would do 5 dives). The decision to reduce the number of dives will be made by the Robin Hood Dive Representative(s) in consultation with the Meet Referee and will be made separately for each event and apply to all divers in that event. Divers and Coaches will be notified during the warm-up prior to the affected events so that they can adjust their dive sheets accordingly. The hope is to have as many age groups do as many dives as possible, but this will allow us, in what we hope is a fair and equitable manner, get through the meet in the time allowed.
• The meet will conclude by 8:45pm at the latest.
