Dear MW dive families,

This coming Sunday afternoon, July 12th, we will be traveling to Old Georgetown for our final dual meet of the season!

We still need one second-half judge. Visit the team calendar to sign up.

As a reminder, divers will plan their list of dives and sign their dive sheets with the coaching staff at practice tomorrow, Friday the 10th. If your child cannot attend practice on Friday, please reach out to Coach Emily to confirm your child’s attendance on Sunday and make alternative arrangements to sign their sheet. You can text/call Emily on 240-839-2679.

On Sunday, here is the plan:

2:20pm: meet at Manor Woods to decorate cars

2:40pm: depart MW for Old Georgetown Swim Club, 9600 Fernwood Rd, Bethesda, MD 20817. We are welcome to park anywhere in the lot that isn’t marked "no parking". Unfortunately, the lot isn’t very large and fills up very quickly. If the lot is full, street parking IS allowed on Fernwood Rd, as long as cars obey the traffic cones and no parking signs. Parking is NOT allowed on Michaels Dr, or on the residential drive just north of the pool entrance. Our hosts encourage carpooling, if possible.

3:15pm: all MW divers 12 & under should be on deck (please note: as was the case last week, this meet will split the halves between the 11-12s and the 13-14s)

3:30pm: MW warmups for divers 12 & under

3:45pm: all first half volunteers should be on deck

4pm: meet begins, all divers should be at the pool to cheer on their teammates!

6/ 6:30pm (approximate): first half of meet concludes, warmups for MW divers 13 & up (during the halftime break, OGC will be honoring their senior divers)

6:30/ 7pm (approximate): second half of meet begins with 13-14 girls (we will be honoring our Manor Woods senior, Rachel Singleton, during the 15-18 girls event!)

8/ 8:30pm (approximate): meet concludes

Kona Ice should be on site around 4pm, and the OGC snack bar will be open, selling sandwiches, salads, snacks/candy, drinks, etc. There is also a vending machine with drinks and snacks. Clayboys also comes by frequently.
