Hello Manor Woods!

This Saturday, July 11, is the fifth "A" swim meet, away at Old Georgetown (9600 Fernwood Rd, Bethesda, MD 20817).

A preliminary lineup has been established. If you haven’t already done so, please check online (select Meet Entry for the Week 5A – Old Georgetown meet under the 2026 Calendar) to see if and what your child is swimming (you must be logged into your account!).

Please note that the lineup may be subject to change!

If your swimmer is scheduled to swim and CANNOT ATTEND, contact Coach Andrea and Coach Joey IMMEDIATELY at [email protected].

Also, if your child is swimming, make sure they initial the lineup that's hanging outside the guard shack by tomorrow.

SPIRIT: Wear yellow as a nod to our rubber duck races! All swimmers are encouraged to attend, even if they are not swimming, to cheer the team on!

MEET-UP & WARM-UPS: Our warm-ups will be from 8:20–8:40 a.m. We will be meeting as a team at Manor Woods at 7:30 a.m. to caravan over to Old Georgetown.

PARKING: There will be some parking in the Old Georgetown pool lot; however, some people may have to park on Fernwood Rd. There will be cones set up to prevent parking too close to the pool entrance. Please observe the no-parking signs.

CONCESSIONS: Concessions, including breakfast sandwiches provided by Vignola Gourmet, will be sold at our snack bar near the front entrance of the pool. We will be selling coffee at a separate concession stand near the guard office. Coffee sales will be credit card only. A hospitality meal will be provided to volunteers and coaches and will be served in the picnic table area during halftime. In addition, the Kona Ice truck will be on-site around 11:00 a.m.

VOLUNTEER INFO: Thank you to all who have already volunteered for the meet! We still need three full-meet timers and one ribbon writer. Timers should check in with Sarah and Julie upon arrival at Old Georgetown.

The officials meeting will be held at the diving boards at 8:30 a.m. The Clerk of Course will also be set up at the corner of the pool by the diving boards. The timers meeting will be held in the far corner by the shed at 8:35 a.m.

POST-MEET LUNCH: The team will meet at Chipotle (10400 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda) for lunch after the meet. All are welcome to join us!

"B" meet entries will open for sign-ups on Saturday afternoon. Additional information will be sent.
