Manor Woods Swim Team: The Week Ahead
Hello Manor Woods Swim Families,
We are rolling right along and heading into another exciting and action-packed week of swim and dive activities this week!
Events for the Week:
MONDAY: TEAM PHOTO/RAFT NIGHT/ICE CREAM SOCIAL/TEEN BONFIRE
Please stay tuned for an email from our social chair Kara Fisher for all details for the evening. The photo will take place at approximately 6:00pm with the photographer arriving at 5:30pm to set up. We are asking all athletes (swimmers, divers and pre-teamers) to arrive by 5:15. We are watching the forecast closely and will notify you via email and facebook if there are any weather-related postponements or delays.
BONFIRE: Our High School Bonfire is scheduled for swiimmers and divers who have finished a year of high school will enjoy this team building event to include pizza, s'mores, and swimming! Look for communication from our bonfire and social chairs for info. We still need folks to volunteer to chaperone, bring firewood, S'mores fixings, and side dishes. Sign up here.
WEDNESDAY: HOME "B" MEET
Our second “B” meet is home vs.Tanterra. Details and registration information have already been shared by our B-Reps. Reminder: You must sign up by Monday at 11:59 PM—no exceptions. Questions? Reach out to our B Reps, Brigit and Lindsay ([email protected])
Grill Volunteers Needed for B Meet!
It takes a team to make a great meet! We need help not just on deck, but across the meet to keep things running smoothly—and to make sure our swimmers and their families are well fed. This is a great opportunity to support our first “B” Meet. Thank you!

THURSDAY: BRING ON THE DONUTS
Donut Thursdays start this week! After their morning practice session, swimmers can pick up ribbons from recent meets and grab a donut. Thanks to Katherine Fiske for organizing and picking up the treats!
FRIDAY: POTLUCK & SPIRIT NIGHT
Join us Friday evening at 6pm for a spirit activity and potluck hosted by the 13-14 & 15-18 families. Please sign up to help online.
- Week 3 Spirit Theme: Recycla-Regatta: We'll make sailboats out of recycled materials and have a swim-lane showdown.
SATURDAY: NEXT "A" MEET
This Saturday’s “A” meet is at home vs. Tanterra. Please remember to mark your child’s availability for this and all upcoming “A” meets and to sign up for a volunteer position. Job sign-up is already open.
Even if your child isn't swimming, come out and show your Manor Woods spirit!

June 30: Swim and Dive for a Cure Swim/Dive-A-Thon (More details will be shared soon!)
July 1: Away “B” meet vs Olney Mill
July 3: Pancake Breakfast at Manor Woods. (Look for communication about volunteering, as we will need helpers!)
July 4: Home “A” meet vs Woodley Gardens and Senior Sendoff. NOTE WE WILL START THIS MEET AT 8:00 am BECAUSE OF THE HOLIDAY!
July 5: “A” Relay Carnival at Tanterra (coaches will be posting lineups for relays next week.)
