Good Evening, Manor Woods!

This is a LONG email with lots of important info for tomorrow’s B Meet @ Washingtonian Woods. Please read it carefully. We will not be caravanning due to school release time and distance to the pool. The Meet Program will be sent separately as soon as it is available.

Order of Events:

MW swimmers to arrive at WW pool no later than 5:10p. Ready to go with caps and goggles for warm-ups.

• MW warm-up will be 5:25-5:40p
• Officials Meeting: 5:40p, Timer meeting: 5:45p, Scratch meeting 5:50p
• Anthem/starter test to immediately follow
• Meet start time: 6:00p (WW will be having a kick-board race at the start of the meet for their pre-team swimmers).

We know this is a school night and, in an effort, to move the swim meet along, both teams agreed to combine events by gender but keep age groups together. So, for example, instead of Boys- 8 & U 25 Freestyle and Girls- 8 & U 25 Freestyle, it will be Mixed- 8 & U 25 Freestyle.

Location & Parking:

Washingtonian Woods: 511 Midsummer Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20878

Below are parking instructions and attached is a diagram:

• This parking lot is in addition to, and adjacent to, the clubhouse
• Only park in designated areas outlined on the diagram in RED
• The BLACK space has very strict no-parking and is a tow-away zone
• There may be some local parking available on Midsummer Drive
• Do not park on Midsummer Drive alongside the pool fence or in-front of a residential driveway
• Always follow local posted parking signage

Team Area: On the grassy section closest to the shallow end of the pool. You are welcome to bring your own chairs. The shallow end is NOT open during swim meets. We don't want MW swimmers to be told repeatedly to stay out of the pool... thank you in advance for your assistance with this!

Please make sure your swimmers are paying attention to what event we are on and make sure they are in the team area where the coaches and clerks of course can easily find them before their event.

FOOD: The Waves Cafe will be open around 5:00p. Cash, credit and Venmo are accepted.

VOLUNTEERS: There will be hospitality for you in the lower clubhouse. Thank you to all our parent volunteers! If you are timing the first half or the full meet, please come find me as soon as you arrive and I will hand you your lane assignment and a stopwatch.
